Colombian Coffee Hits NoDa: Caffeto’s Farm-to-Cup Coffee Truck

Caffeto Specialty Coffee, a mobile coffee truck with direct roots in Colombia, has found its permanent home in Charlotte’s artsy NoDa district. Located at 3012 North Davidson St., Caffeto offers more than a caffeine fix—it serves a direct connection to Colombia’s rich coffee heritage.

Nestled beside Canvas Tattoo and across from the Johnston YMCA, the vibrant coffee truck has quickly become a local favorite for its high-quality brews and community-first ethos.

Farm-to-Cup Excellence

Caffeto’s owner, Valentina Castellanos, brings authenticity to every cup. Sourcing beans from her family’s farm in Manizales, Colombia, the business ensures freshness and quality through a vertically integrated approach. The family not only grows and harvests the beans but also roasts them onsite in Colombia before shipping them directly to Charlotte.

“Sustainability is at the heart of what we do,” Castellanos explained. All of Caffeto’s packaging materials, from cups to shipping supplies, are compostable and made from plant-based starches. This eco-conscious commitment extends from their farm in Colombia to their coffee truck in Charlotte.

What’s Brewing

Caffeto’s menu features a carefully curated selection of espresso-based drinks, including cortados, cappuccinos, and flavored coffee, alongside non-coffee options like matcha and chai lattes. Pair your drink with authentic pastries such as:

  • Pandebono: A classic Colombian cheese bread ($3 each).
  • Cachitos: Venezuelan soft bread stuffed with ham, bacon, and cream cheese, available exclusively on weekends.
  • Croissants and Danishes for a traditional pastry experience.

Seasonal offerings, including fruitier flavors and tropical treats, are set to roll out in the coming months.

Coffee Meets Culture

Caffeto is more than a coffee stop—it’s a cultural hub. Each month, the truck hosts morning parties featuring live DJs spinning house and Latin house beats. By spring, these events are slated to expand to a weekly schedule, offering an upbeat start to your weekend. The next event is scheduled for February 15, with updates available on Caffeto’sInstagram.

Caffeto’s coffee has been recognized by the Specialty Coffee Association, underscoring its exceptional quality. Castellanos hopes to leverage this success to expand, with plans to franchise additional coffee trucks across Charlotte.

The NoDa Connection

Located in one of Charlotte’s most vibrant neighborhoods, Caffeto sits at the crossroads of art, culture, and community. The truck’s bright presence adds to the lively scene of North Davidson Street, where it shares space with the newly opened cocktail bar Chief’s and longstanding landmarks like Canvas Tattoo.

Caffeto is open 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily, inviting locals and visitors alike to savor a taste of Colombia.
