Charlotte FC was losing 2-0 to FC Dallas with 26 minutes left on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Bank of America Stadium, and won 3-2 on a goal in stoppage time, the extra minutes added at the end of the match.
Idan Toklomati scored that winner and Charlotte's first goal, in the 70th minute. Defender Harry Toffolo scored in between, his first goal for the club. Logan Farrington and Petar Musa had put Dallas ahead 2-0 by the 64th minute.
All three goals came after head coach Dean Smith brought on three substitutes, Toffolo and midfielder Luca de la Torre in the 60th minute and forward Rodolfo Aloko in the 69th. "They showed massive character," Smith said.
It was the first time this season Charlotte had come from two goals down to win, by the club's count. Toklomati's two goals gave him 11 for the season.
Charlotte lost its next match, 3-1 at the Columbus Crew on Wednesday, Oct. 14, where Toklomati scored his 12th. Charlotte was fifth in the Eastern Conference after that loss.
