The Carolina Panthers beat the Philadelphia Eagles 25-14 on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia despite 13 penalties for 149 yards. Carolina is 3-2.

Running back Chuba Hubbard ran 28 times for 120 yards, and his 1-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter capped a 14-play, 92-yard drive. Quarterback Bryce Young completed 20 of 39 passes for 281 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. Tight end Tommy Tremble, who had not scored all season, caught both touchdown passes, from 12 and 19 yards.

According to the team, Carolina has won three of its first five games for the first time since 2021, and its 146 points are a team record through five games. The old mark was 135, in 2015.

The Eagles were without running back Saquon Barkley, who was inactive, and quarterback Jalen Hurts, whom they placed on injured reserve before the game. Tanner McKee started at quarterback and completed 26 of 45 passes for 215 yards and a touchdown.

The Panthers never trailed. They led 10-7 at halftime, held Philadelphia to 35 rushing yards and outgained the Eagles 399 yards to 222.

"The penalties were outrageous," Panthers coach Dave Canales said.

Kicker Ryan Fitzgerald made field goals of 47 and 52 yards and is 11 for 11 on field goals this season.

Philadelphia pulled within 19-14 with 10:42 left. Then an Eagles punt from the Philadelphia 40 went 8 yards and out of bounds at the 48. Four plays later, Young found Tremble for the 19-yard touchdown that made it 25-14.

The Panthers host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, Oct. 25.
