The 25th edition of 24 Hours of Booty, the signature cycling and walking fundraiser of 24 Foundation, raised more than $1.6 million to support cancer survivorship and patient navigation programs, the services that help patients find their way through diagnosis and treatment. Since the event began in 2002, it has generated more than $33 million for people affected by cancer.
Laps through Myers Park
Held July 24 and 25, the event welcomed more than 900 participants and 85 teams from 22 states and three countries. Riders, walkers, runners and ruckers, who walk carrying weighted packs, completed laps through Charlotte's Myers Park neighborhood while gathering in "Bootyville" at Queens University of Charlotte for food, camping and fellowship. Others took part virtually through the event's "UnLooped" option.
Funds raised benefit local organizations including Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute and Levine Children's Hospital. Donations will continue to be accepted through the end of the year.
Record fundraising
Among the top fundraisers, Team Amwins led with $189,184. Katie Bleau raised a record-setting $161,250, making her the highest individual fundraiser in the event's history.
Organizers credited participants, volunteers, sponsors, first responders and the Myers Park community for making the milestone event a success.
The 26th edition of 24 Hours of Booty is scheduled for July 23–24, 2027.
