Partner Spotlight: a paid placement by a neighborhood business, not editorial coverage.

Debbie Rose came to real estate looking for work that guides people through big transitions. She had been through a few herself.

After her youngest child left for college, Debbie Rose started thinking about what the next chapter should look like. She wanted meaningful work that blended service, relationships and the chance to guide people through major life changes. Real estate fit. Three years into her career with Coldwell Banker Realty, she has built a reputation for calm guidance, thoughtful communication and genuine care. One of her most memorable moments was helping a veteran buy his first home.

Five moves in twenty years

Before becoming a Realtor, Rose spent 24 years as a full-time homemaker raising three children, and she moved five times over twenty years before settling in North Carolina. That history gives her an empathy for the emotional and logistical challenges of moving. She never pressures anyone to move quickly, and she understands that the right home can take time to find.

Living in South Charlotte, she knows the lifestyle and expectations of country club communities firsthand and enjoys helping buyers and sellers show off what makes each home and neighborhood distinct.

A typical day

No two days look alike: client communication, showings, market research, contract negotiations, and work with lenders and attorneys, plus marketing and social media to keep clients informed. Outside work she reads, walks her two dogs, decorates and organizes spaces, and gets to the beach when she can. She stays involved locally through her church, Bible studies, volunteer work, farmers markets and local events. Her favorite local spot is Blakeney, for the fountain area and the outdoor dining.

Her philosophy

Be available, be personal, be consistent. "Trust is built through communication, follow-through, and treating people the way I'd want to be treated," she says. And the goal is bigger than a single sale: "My goal isn't just to help someone buy or sell a home, it's to build lasting relationships."
