Three Charlotte FC players spent Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 20, building stuffed animals with young patients in the lobby of Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital.

Defenders Henry Kessler and Harry Toffolo and goalkeeper Tyler Miller took part in a Build-A-Bear experience, where patients picked out a stuffed animal, took part in the heart ceremony and chose an outfit for their new companion. Sir Minty, the club's soccer-ball mascot, greeted families.

It was the fourth annual Joy Drop from Charlotte FC and Atrium Health, according to the club. The club came back that evening with team giveaways and treats for the hospital's staff.

"Anytime that we can do something for the community, especially for the children, I think it's really important," Miller said in a video the club released.

Miller, who has a daughter, said of the young patients, "To be able to give them something to laugh about, smile about, it means everything to me."
