For more than two decades, Susan Fuller has built her career around one belief: insurance is about people, not policies. A paid Partner Spotlight.
As an agency partner with Highstreet Insurance, Fuller combines 23 years of agency experience with 11 years in insurance claims, a perspective on both preventing risk and helping families recover when life takes an unexpected turn. Her background in social work, earned at Georgia Southern University, still shapes the way she serves clients.
Fuller lives in Baxter with her partner, Deborah Williams, and their two dogs, Camo and Jewels. When she is not working with clients, she is likely with friends or on the golf course.
Relationships first
Highstreet Insurance has spent the past two decades growing through a relationship-first approach. Rather than simply selling policies, Fuller and her team focus on lasting relationships with the families and businesses they serve.
"Our mission is to combine professional risk expertise with genuine human empathy," Fuller says. "We treat our clients like neighbors, ensuring every family and business has the peace of mind they deserve to face the future with confidence."
As an insurance broker, Highstreet offers protection for every stage of life, including homeowners, auto, umbrella, commercial and life insurance. Whether helping a young family buy a first home, protecting a growing business or preparing clients for the unexpected, the team works to tailor solutions to each client.
Educators and advocates
What distinguishes Highstreet, the magazine writes, is its commitment to education and advocacy. Insurance can feel overwhelming, full of complicated terminology and confusing options. She believes clients deserve someone who will take the time to explain their choices and help them make informed decisions.
"We aren't just order-takers," she says. "We act as educators and advocates, translating complex industry jargon into clear choices so our neighbors feel truly understood, valued, and protected."
In the community
Highstreet supports local charities, youth sports and neighborhood events, in the belief that successful businesses have a responsibility to help build stronger communities. By investing locally and giving back where possible, Fuller and her team hope to build relationships that extend beyond the office.
For Fuller, serving clients means being present not only at the purchase of a policy but when someone needs help most.
"I want my neighbors to know that I'm not just your insurance agent; I'm your neighbor and friend," she says. "At Highstreet Insurance, we're always here to help, listen, and ensure you have the peace of mind you deserve."
Whether you are reviewing current coverage, buying a new home, starting a business or wondering whether you are adequately protected, Fuller and the Highstreet team are ready to help. Highstreet Insurance & Financial Services is at 985 Market St., Suite 201, (803) 746-7568. A paid Partner Spotlight.
