Charlotte Mercury: Charlotte Knights

The Charlotte Knights released their 2027 home schedule on August 12, and it contains one series Truist Field has never hosted.

The Iowa Cubs, the Chicago Cubs' Triple-A affiliate, come to Uptown from June 8 to 13. The Knights call it the first meeting between the two clubs at the ballpark and frame it as the White Sox and Cubs rivalry reaching the Triple-A level.

Opening Knight is March 30

Charlotte opens 2027 with a three-game road trip and comes home Tuesday, March 30, for six games against the Memphis Redbirds, the Cardinals' affiliate. That series, March 30 through April 4, is Memphis's only trip to Charlotte in 2027.

Three holiday weekends at home

Memorial Day, May 28 to 30. Independence Day, July 2 to 4. Labor Day, September 3 to 5. Two of the three are the back ends of series the release names separately: the Oklahoma City Comets, the Dodgers' affiliate, play here June 29 through July 4, and the Gwinnett Stripers, the Braves' affiliate, close out August 31 through September 5.

The rest of the board

Thirty-nine of the 75 home games fall on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Gwinnett gets a second six-game series, April 13 to 18. Oklahoma City's June visit is a return; the Comets came to Charlotte for the first time this June, and the Knights split that homestand. The other interleague series brings the Round Rock Express, the Rangers' affiliate, July 27 through August 1.

2027 is Charlotte's 13th season at Truist Field and its sixth consecutive 150-game Triple-A schedule, 75 of them in Uptown.

Partial season plans, group and hospitality tickets and single-game tickets go on sale in the coming weeks, and the 2027 promotional calendar comes later. Season memberships are available now at 704-274-8300 and CharlotteKnights.com.

For now, a full season membership is the only way to buy a seat for the Cubs series.
